Drop In Support for Young People and Parents Following Manchester Arena Bombing

Following last Monday’s terrorist attack young people from right across the city have been emotionally affected by the tragic events that took place. Many of our local young people went the concert on Monday night and many others had friends who attended.

As next week is half term drop in sessions have been arranged for young people and their parents to attend to provide emotional and wellbeing support to those young people who need it. A team of trained and experienced professionals will be available onsite at the venues and times below in order to provide information and advice to students and parents, to promote the emotional health and wellbeing of children, during this particularly difficult period should they need it.

Volunteer Recognition Event

Thanks to funding received from the Big Lottery, the Staff were able to fulfil a long held desire to honour the contribution made by the Centre’s Volunteers, 44 in total.

We held a “James Bond” theme night and put on the glitz and the glamour, to award each Volunteer a Certificate to recognise their individual contribution. Julie Mrozek, Centre Manager, opened the event and listed all the skills our Volunteers bring to the Centre and how, without them, we would not be able to provide the services we do to the Community.

Everyone agreed that it had been a night to remember and a good time was had by all!

A massive thank you to all the staff at Barclays Bank, Radbroke Hall, Knutsford who bought cakes and other Easter goodies on Monday 21st March. The event raised £402 which Barclays doubled to £804.  Our thanks also go to everyone who donated their time and talents to make cakes and Easter hampers to the sale including Maureen Mclelllan, Lisa Heaney and Grant Lopo of Granted Cakes.   Sajida Jibran from Unique Stoved Cales also donated her time to bake cakes for us.

If you would like to hold a similar fundraising event at our place of work, school or church please speak to any member of our staff and volunteer team.  All funds raised are used to provide services and equipment for our Community.
